PARETO CHART

A graph showing bars, in size order from left to right. Pareto charts are expressions of the Pareto Principle. The principle suggests that the significant items in a given group normally constitute a relatively small portion of the total items in the group. Conversely, a majority of items in the total will, even in aggregate, be relatively minor in significance — this is called the 80/20 rule. Pareto charts help us focus on the vital few problems rather than the trivial many.
