MATERIAL REPLENISHMENT SYSTEM (MRS)

Material Replenishment System (MRS) -- Techniques for using cards, lights, heights, grids, squares flags or other visual means of signaling the need for replenishment of materials, parts or supplies located at re-supply points. Helps facilitate pull, not push. MRS highlights waste and our inability to master one-piece flow. Unlike MRP, it does not hide waste.
