Our team members bring unparalleled expertise as executives, managers and technical professionals. Each lean manufacturing consultant has proven experience in managing strategic planning and organizational change and applying Lean and Six Sigma business practices to create world-class performance. Our business consultants are recognized leaders in building and facilitating interdisciplinary teams that are able to develop creative, cost-effective solutions to the difficult challenges faced by managers in today's competitive business climate.

Brad P. Muir, President Brad

Brad has over 25 years experience implementing World Class/Lean technologies and Lean culture transformations. Brad has extensive knowledge in managing the entire value chain; including materials and processes, training and implementing supply chain management, production and operations, and effecting positive change within an organization.

Brad has a long tenure as a Lean expert, and has held several positions of executive level management in the Aerospace, defense, sheet metal and service industries. In these roles, Brad focused on process improvements through implementing Lean methodologies, training teams, designing and reconfiguring facility layout as well as leading other successful strategic projects. He is credited with saving companies tens of millions of dollars by increasing productivity, decreasing costs of products and services, and reducing lead time substantially. He has instituted standard work and training that has proved to sustain the improvements made, decrease re-work and increase quality. Brad has dedicated his career to being both a life-long student of the Lean concepts as well as a recognized professional of their implementation.

Brad has a BS degree from Weber State University in Manufacturing Engineering. He is a certified Journeyman Machinist and Manufacturing Engineer (CME). Mr. Muir is also a Site Examiner for the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence.

Glade Nielson, Lean Manager, Sr. Consultant

Glade has worked extensively in North America as a prescriptive leadership and change management consultant. He has over 30 years' experience in all phases of Programs: Operations-Project Management-Process improvement-Task Team Problem Solving and Organization Building. he has received first-hand training (by Toyota, Honda and others) and has been certified on Honda Best Practices and the Toyota Production System.

Glade received a B.A. in Production Management with a Minor in Japanese from Utah State University. He has served as an ad-hoc faculty member at Brigham Young University, College of Engineering.

Gary Conner, Lean Implementation Specialist

Gary brings over 24 year's hands-on experience implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement programs to hundreds of client companies. Gary has an in-depth knowledge and background in precision sheet metal technology beginning as a machine operator, quality assurance manager, lean manufacturing cell team leader and eventually as a lead instructor at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, Oregon.

Since joining TCA, Gary has worked with over 170 companies in dozens of industries; conducting over 600 Kaizen Events; working in 47 of 50 states and 2 Canadian Provinces. The industries he has served include furniture manufacturers, aerospace, plastic injection molding, precision machining, mechanical electrical assembly, medical products, as well as healthcare and governmental agencies.

Gary has received the Shingo Prize in 2002 and the Manufacturer of the year Award in 2004. He also is the recipient of the Mary Pearmine Award (Job Growers, Salem, Oregon).

Trina A. Green

Director of Administration, Trina, is responsible for leading our administrative team which includes our office operations, accounting, human resources and recruiting services. Trina has over 25 years’ experience in a variety of roles, includes sales and marketing, Lean Administration, in-house training, office/operations management, accounting, workshop coordination and more recently as our Recruiting and Placement Manager. Trina has successfully placed Quality Managers, Production Managers, Lean Specialists, VP Supply Chain, VP Manufacturing, Operations Managers, Plant Managers and General Managers and a variety of technical professionals within our clients’ organizations. Trina’s in-depth knowledge of business consulting services, business education and human resource management affords a seasoned perspective to her work.

Trina attended Stevens Henager Business College and Weber State University. She has been involved in local Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) programs to promote continuous improvement. She is also certified as a Lean Manager in Administrative and Service Programs.

Gary L. High, Sr. Lean Consultant

Gary High is a Senior Consultant with over 30 years experience in the manufacturing world. He has devoted his career to implementing World Class technologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen Events, Six Sigma, Setup Reduction and Facilities Layout. Gary has helped companies with facilities layout and design, cellular design, kanban and pull systems. He is considered a 5S Housekeeping "Guru" by our clients.

Gary has held positions in manufacturing management and engineering for various industries, including machining, fabrication, sporting goods and aerospace. He works with numerous clients setting up cellular manufacturing. He utilizes Kaizen and 5S to implement "quick" changes and improvements in focused areas.

Gary holds a bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Weber State University. He is certified by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

 

Kim Dixon, Sr. Lean Consultant

Kim is a Senior Consultant with over 25 years experience in manufacturing, service and health industries. He has been focused in Administrative Lean, production, quality control and project management. Kim has overseen successful layout and design projects in over a hundred client companies.

Kim's capabilities come from his diverse background with expertise in self-directed work teams, new product introduction, facilities design and implementation as well as quality control.

Kim holds a bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering from Weber State University and an associates degree in computer-aided design. He is a frequent speaker and training facilitator.

 

Dave W. Scott, Sr. Lean Consultant

Dave has worked as a Vice President of Manufacturing/Engineering and Vice President of Corporate Planning for a multi-plant metal fabricating and finishing OEM. He has significant experience in Strategic Planning, as well as, World Class implementations, including all facets of work teams, Lean/cellular manufacturing, Kaizen and other continuous improvement technologies.

Dave’s manufacturing and management background spans over 40 years in industrial engineering, production and inventory control, manufacturing engineering and related senior leadership positions. He has expertise in Lean training and implementation, strategic direction, facilities planning,business development, and the full range of World Class Manufacturing practices.

Dave holds an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago with an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Western Illinois University. He has been active in the Champions Club of the AME (Association for Manufacturing Excellence).

 

Jason Fogg, Consultant

Jason has worked in the manufacturing industry for over 18 years. He is a proven leader in various engineering, manufacturing, quality and General Management roles. Fifteen years of experience as an executive team member responsible for developing strategic product, manufacturing, and budget plans.

Jason's expertise is in adapting the Lean methodologies into facilities layout and planning, supplier development and organizational change. He is a Lean champion. He has a passion for training and helping clients understand Lean as the most powerful tool for positive change. He has helped his clients revolutionize their thinking into a constant learning and continuous improvement culture.

Jason also is an innovative product designer with 3 patents and contributions to 6 additional patents.

Jason holds a bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering from Brigham Young University and an Masters of Business Administration.
